Dr Ismi Arif Ismail

Professor Universiti Putra Malaysia

Professor Dr Ismi Arif Ismail is a scholar in the fields of extension and continuing education. He specialises in policy development, youth development, and national unity. In the field of continuing education, he specialises in leadership and human resource development. Dr Ismi is also a senior researcher at the International Institute of Online Education (IIOE) Malaysia National Centre at the Faculty of Educational Studies, Universiti Putra Malaysia collaborating closely with UNESCO in the Asia Pacific region.

Professor Dr Ismi Arif Ismail was the former Deputy Vice Chancellor of Academic and International Affairs at Universiti Putra Malaysia between 2022-2025. Before that, he served as the Director at the Institute for Social Science Studies (IPSAS), Universiti Putra Malaysia from 2020 to 2022. He was also the former Deputy Dean (Research and Graduate Studies) at the Faculty of Educational Studies, UPM, from 2017 to 2020 and from 2012 to 2013. He was seconded to the Higher Education Leadership Academy (AKEPT), Ministry of Education, from 2013 to 2015 as the Deputy Director (Teaching and Learning Leadership).
