The SEAMEO Regional Centre for Special Educational Needs (SEAMEO SEN) is a leading regional intergovernmental organisation dedicated to advancing education for learners with disabilities. Established in 2012, we proudly support the Ministries of Education of Southeast Asian member countries, including Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Lao PDR, Brunei Darussalam, Singapore, the Philippines, Myanmar, and Timor-Leste through:-
- Teacher Capacity Building: We empower educators with the skills and knowledge needed to effectively support learners with diverse needs.
- Targeted Research: We conduct in-depth research on disability-inclusive education to inform best practices and innovative solutions.
- Learning Material Development: We create high-quality, accessible educational resources tailored to the specific needs of learners with disabilities.
- Advocacy and Policy Recommendations: We advocate for supportive policies and provide recommendations to governments to foster a more inclusive education environment.
