The SEAMEO Regional Centre for Education in Science and Mathematics (SEAMEO RECSAM) is one of the regional centres under the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO). Inaugurated in May 1967, SEAMEO RECSAM has played a significant role in advancing the quality of science and mathematics education across Southeast Asia and beyond. As a regional centre of excellence, SEAMEO RECSAM is committed to strengthening the capacity of educators, education leaders, and institutions through research and development that informs pedagogy and policy, high-quality professional development programmes, strategic collaborations with experts, institutions, and communities, as well as knowledge dissemination and information exchange. Through its 12th Five-Year Development Plan (Fiscal Years 2025/2026 to 2029/2030), the Centre reaffirms its commitment to leading high-quality science and mathematics education in Southeast Asia. The 12th Five-Year Development Plan places strong emphasis on technology integration and dynamic, innovative approaches to science and mathematics education by integrating global competencies, sustainability, and future-ready learning environments.
