Ary Yulistiana is an experienced educator and EdTech advocate with almost two decades of dedication to advancing education through innovation and meaningful use of technology. She has been nationally recognized with the Medal of Honour – Satyalancana Pendidikan for Distinguished Teacher from the President of Indonesia and awarded a Gold Medal at the National Teacher Olympiad for her dedication to transformative teaching.

As the author of more than 30 publications, including her acclaimed book “Teachers in the Metaverse Era: Becoming Resilient and Growing Educators in the Age of Technological Revolution”, she explores the evolving role of teachers amid rapid technological change. Firmly rooted in classroom practice, she has also facilitated numerous professional development initiatives that equip educators with skills in digital literacy, creative pedagogy, and curriculum design.

Beyond institutional programs, she serves as a trainer for teachers in remote and underserved regions through the Indonesia Teaching Fellowship, promoting educational equity and professional growth across diverse contexts.

Representing Indonesia as a Kahoot! Ambassador at Bett UK 2025, she showcased innovative, homegrown educational strategies on a global platform. She further enhanced her expertise in 21st-century education by completing a Short Course on Pedagogical Skill – Applied Teaching Methodology at the University of Queensland, Australia.

It is a great honour for her to be part of the Bett Asia Advisory Board, where collaboration shapes the future of education across the region.

Damir Odobasic

Head of Music, ICT, and Digital Integrations

Shanghai United International School (SUIS)

Damir Odobasic is the Head of Music, ICT, and Digital Integration at Shanghai United International School (SUIS), where he leads cross-campus initiatives to embed AI and emerging technologies into everyday teaching practice.

He is the creator of the Lesson Intelligence Framework (LIF), a five-layer instructional design system that helps teachers preserve authentic student thinking in AI-rich classrooms. His current work focuses on a single question: how do we design lessons where thinking remains central when answers are one prompt away?

A frequent speaker at international education conferences, Damir publishes the Lesson Intelligence newsletter, read by educators across Asia and globally who are rethinking how lessons are designed in the AI era.

Damir's background spans music education, EdTech, and curriculum design. He works directly with teachers and school leaders to embed digital tools in creative, ethical, and impactful ways, and supports school-wide collaboration on purposeful technology integration.

He is honored to serve on the Bett Asia Advisory Group, contributing at the intersection of arts, technology, and learning science.

Dr Lee Tze Yan

Senior Lecturer

Universiti Kuala Lumpur

Dr Lee is currently a senior lecturer at the Institute of Medical Science Technology (MESTECH) in Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL). Possessing a background as a trained biomedical scientist, Dr Lee holds a MSc in Molecular Biology and a Ph.D. in Molecular Medicine from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). Dr. Lee's academic journey is further enriched by his keen interest in promoting STEM in the nation by serving as judges in various STEM related competitions. He also serves as an enthusiastic member of the Young Scientist Network (YSN) at the Academy of Sciences Malaysia (ASM) and is also a working group member in ASTI (Association of Science, Technology & Innovation). Within the realm of research, he had obtained Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS) and Malaysian Medical Association (MMA) research grant schemes. He has also played instrumental roles in orchestrating a multitude of local and international conferences, meetings, and workshops. His reach extends beyond academia, as he regularly publishes insightful articles on science and contemporary issues in prominent local media outlets such as The STAR, The EDGE Daily, Esti.my, and Malaysian Reserve. At the heart of Dr. Lee's vision lies a steadfast commitment to promoting the significance of science, particularly within STEM-related education in Malaysia.

Dr Neelam Parmar

Director of Professional Learning and Online Education

AISL Harrow Schools

Dr Neelam Parmar is an internationally recognised educational consultant and advisor in Digital Education, with over 20 years of experience in the EdTech landscape. Currently, she serves as the Director of AISL Academy at AISL Harrow in Southeast Asia, delivering on a global, online professional learning and development platform offering accredited and certified high-impact programmes, pathways, courses and webinars for K-12 academic and non-academic members. Previously, she held the position of Chief Digital Officer at E-ACT MAT in the UK and has worked with Ashford School and the United Learning Multi-Academy Trust. Neelam’s recent collaborations include impactful partnerships where she led initiatives focused on educational disruption and transformation. She actively supports global EdTech startups and has advised governments internationally on digital transformation and AI strategies, advocating for innovation in education governance and policy development.

Neelam holds prominent leadership and advisory roles in the education sector, more notably as an EdTech Advisory Board member with the Chartered College and Department of Education (DfE). She serves as a Governor for Bournemouth and Poole Colleges, Bett Advisory Board member and judge. Dr. Parmar is part of the Schools and Academies Show Education Steering Committee and contributes to the Shape the Future Leaders Coalition. Internationally, she contributes to the AI in Education Panel with Educate Ventures, championing the integration of AI in education through thought leadership and policy.

Dr Teh Choon Jin

Registrar & Senior Director and Deputy President

Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation, NAPEI

Dr. Teh Choon Jin is the Registrar & Senior Director at the Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) and serves as the Deputy President of the National Association of Private Educational Institutions (NAPEI). With over 25 years of experience in university leadership and education policy reform, he has played a key role in initiatives aimed at future-proofing graduate skills, strengthening institutional governance and driving the integration of technology in education.

He actively contributes to national education and workforce development through appointments to key committees and task forces under the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia. A prolific researcher and advisor, Dr. Teh’s work focuses on organisational culture, leadership behaviour and educational innovation. He also serves as a peer reviewer and his research has been published in respected academic journals.
Recognised as a thought leader, Dr. Teh is a frequent speaker at regional forums and regularly contributes to national discourse on education through various media platforms. He advocates for education reform, digital transformation and inclusive, tech-driven learning ecosystems across higher education, K-12, and TVET sectors.

Mr Thinagaran is a passionate and forward-thinking educator with a deep commitment to harnessing technology to transform learning experiences. With a background in Primary Mathematics, he has spent over 14 years in education, continuously exploring innovative ways to engage students and prepare them for the demands of a rapidly evolving digital world.

Driven by a strong belief in the power of hands-on, inquiry-based learning, Mr. Thinagaran has championed the integration of robotics and coding into the curriculum, empowering students to become creators, problem-solvers, and critical thinkers. He has led numerous initiatives and clubs focused on STEM education, guiding learners through real-world challenges using tools like microcontrollers, programmable robots, and design-thinking frameworks.

As a lifelong learner, Mr Thinagaran actively collaborates with educators globally, sharing best practices in educational technology integration. He brings a strategic perspective to the intersection of pedagogy and innovation, advocating for equity, accessibility, and purposeful tech use in schools.

Now contributing as a member of the Bett Asia Advisory Board, Mr Thinagaran aims to support educators and leaders across the region in reimagining education through meaningful technological transformation.
