Julie Nugroho

Julie Nugroho has dedicated 30 years to education, building extensive experience across national and international schools in Indonesia and abroad.

Throughout her career, she has taught and developed curricula for young learners, adolescents, and adult professionals, while contributing to school establishment and development, educational consultancy, and professional training across Indonesia and Southeast Asia. Julie began her career as an English teacher before expanding her expertise as a Speech and Drama Teacher, Special Education Teacher, and School Leader. Driven by the evolving educational landscape, she has pursued leadership opportunities and contributed to strategic development in bilingual education, inclusive learning, and teacher professional development. 

Following the successful establishment of the Learning Support Unit at Sekolah Cita Buana in 2002, Julie has remained a passionate advocate for inclusive education. She believes every child, regardless of ability, should have the opportunity to learn at their own pace, build on their strengths, and thrive in an environment that values personal growth, character, and well-being alongside academic achievement. Julie is also an International Curriculum Association (ICA) Ambassador for Indonesia and an Executive Board Member of the Association of SPK Schools of Indonesia, where she contributes to strengthening collaboration and educational leadership. She continues to champion human-centred, inclusive learning, and collaboration among educators and school leaders.
