Emma Rooney
Deputy Head i/c Pastoral Care Charterhouse Malaysia
Emma has been an educator for over thirty years, with 16 years of international school experience from across four different countries. She has held leadership posts in Bahrain, Thailand, and Malaysia.
Emma believes strongly that wellbeing and a sense of safety and belonging underpin everything else that schools are trying to do for students, and that this aspect of provision needs careful attention.
In her current role as Dep Head in charge of Pastoral Care, Emma oversees not only the pastoral provision of all students during the school day, but also the school’s Boarding provision for around 40 students.
