Anthony Partington
Chief Executive Officer XCL Education Malaysia
Anthony Partington has almost 25 years’ experience as a Teacher and school leader.
Anthony originally worked in the City of London in public, media and analyst relations, after studying English at the University of Oxford, but returned to the University of Cambridge to train as a teacher in 2002.
While completing a master’s at the UCL Institute of Education, Anthony published on literacy teaching. He edited Much Ado About Nothing and Twelfth Night for the Cambridge University Press School Shakespeare series.
Anthony joined Cambridge Meridian Academies Trust (CMAT) in 2010 as an Assistant Principal and ultimately became the trust’s Executive Director of Education responsible for academy quality assurance and teacher professional development from initial teacher training to leadership succession and development.
In 2019, he moved to private and international education working first for GEMS at their international school near Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He joined XCL Education in 2022 to oversee Sri KDU Schools as Executive Principal and quickly became CEO Malaysia with strategic leadership and oversight of more than 10000 students in nine schools offering British and Malaysian curriculum and 35 early education centres.
His current challenge is developing student’s real-world skills whilst exploring AI into teaching and learning.
