More AI, More Human

Stageo's vision for learning in the AI era

As AI transforms the way people learn, Adrian Low, Founder of Stageo, believes one of the most powerful parts of education remains unchanged: the connection between people.

That belief inspired him to create Stageo, a platform built to amplify human-guided learning by helping learners connect with tutors, coaches, mentors and experts more effectively.

As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly embedded across education, Adrian found himself asking a simple question: what happens to human expertise when information becomes instantly accessible?

The missing piece in AI

Across Southeast Asia, demand for private tutoring and personalised learning continues to grow, while AI tutors, personalised learning pathways and on-demand support are rapidly changing how learners access education. Adrian welcomes these developments but believes they work best when combined with human guidance.

While these innovations are making learning more accessible and efficient, he believes they also highlight something technology cannot replace.

"As AI adoption goes up and digitalisation goes up, what's also going up is the need for human connection. Human connections become increasingly scarce and more important than ever."

He used a simple example to explain his thinking. What motivates a child to practise the piano isn't usually an app or an algorithm. It's knowing their teacher would ask about it at the next lesson. That relationship creates accountability, and accountability is often what in turn drives progress.

For Adrian, learning is about more than access to information. It’s about encouragement, trust and belief.

"When someone says 'I believe in you', if that comes from AI, it's cold. But when it comes from the human heart, that's transformative."

That belief became the foundation of Stageo.

Technology in service of human expertise

Rather than replacing tutors, coaches and mentors, Stageo is designed to help them focus on what they do best.

"What we wanted to do was look at all the things stealing practitioners' time and energy. What takes them away from what they do best? Because what they do best is transform the lives of the person on the other end."

Stageo’s goal is to support that expertise by creating better infrastructure around it.

From scheduling and payments to communications and AI-generated recaps, Stageo helps practitioners spend less time managing their business and more time supporting learners.

The result is a platform where technology works quietly in the background, allowing educators, coaches and mentors to focus on building stronger relationships with learners.

A conversation that changed the product

As Stageo continued to evolve, Adrian actively sought feedback from educators and industry leaders to ensure the platform was solving real-world challenges.

That search for insight eventually led him to Bett Asia, and one conversation at the event had a lasting impact.

While speaking with the head of an international school in Hong Kong, Adrian was challenged to think more deeply about safeguarding in online learning environments.

"I went back to my team and said, we've got to look into this deeply."

The result was a series of enhancements, including parental oversight features, session monitoring capabilities and AI-powered red-flag detection designed to identify suspicious activity.

"Something very tangible happened because of that conversation. We were better for it."

For Adrian, it was a powerful reminder that some of the most valuable product insights don't come from reports or market research. They come from conversations with the people facing these challenges every day.

More than a summit & exhibition

That experience is one of the reasons Stageo keeps coming back to Bett Asia.

After attending as a participant in 2024, the company returned as an exhibitor in 2025. This year, Stageo is expanding its involvement further through both exhibiting and participation in the Educator x EdTech Exchange.

For Adrian, Bett Asia is more than a summit and exhibition.

It's a place where educators, innovators and technology providers come together to share ideas, challenge assumptions and explore the future of learning.

"We want to be part of the conversation. If we've got a different message and a different perspective, we need to be in the room."

Those conversations continue to influence how Stageo develops, grows and serves its community.

The human bet

As AI continues to transform education, Adrian remains convinced that the most powerful part of learning will always be human.

Technology can make learning more accessible. It can automate processes and improve efficiency. But encouragement, accountability and trust still come from people.

Stageo isn't anti-AI. AI is embedded within the platform in ways practitioners can leverage. Rather than opposing AI, he challenges the assumption that AI will reduce the need for human expertise.

"We're not anti-AI. We're the anti-hero of this trend."

Technology will continue to evolve. Models will become smarter. Platforms will become faster.

Across Asia and beyond, he sees growing demand not just for answers, but for structured guidance, accountability and mentorship.

The moments that change learners' lives will remain human: a teacher's encouragement, a mentor's challenge and a coach's belief.

Stageo's mission is simple: use technology to amplify human-guided learning, not replace it.

As AI becomes more widespread, Adrian believes human expertise becomes more valuable than ever.

And for Adrian, Bett Asia remains one of the places where those ideas continue to be challenged, refined and strengthened through conversation.
