Exploring AI-human collaboration in the classroom

As learning becomes increasingly powered by AI, the question is no longer whether technology can deliver knowledge, but whether it can truly support the human teacher. While machines are becoming highly capable of mastering subject content, they cannot replicate the pedagogical presence, trust, and motivation that educators bring to their students. In the era of agentic teaching, the focus is now on how learning systems can move beyond simply providing answers to genuinely empowering classroom teachers - helping them guide, engage, and inspire learners.

Drawing on insights from immersive game design, this talk explores how the next generation of AI can support, rather than replace, the deeply human qualities - intuition, empathy, and cultural awareness that sit at the heart of effective teaching.
