More than a degree: expanding glexible learning pathways

As learner expectations evolve, institutions are expanding beyond traditional degree programmes to offer short courses, microcredentials, professional development, alumni learning, and workforce-focused education. This roundtable in the Collaboration Zone invites Higher Education leaders to share how they are designing, delivering, and scaling flexible learning pathways while balancing institutional strategy, learner experience, and operational efficiency.

This discussion will focus on the opportunities and challenges of diversifying learning offerings, while seeking feedback from participants on emerging needs, institutional priorities, and future directions. The conversation will also explore how Canvas Catalog, Parchment Digital Badges, and Canvas Career can support course discovery, enrolment, and delivery for flexible learning offerings. Participants will leave with practical ideas from peers, real-world examples, and a clearer understanding of approaches that are working across the sector.
