Thanbeer is a Lecturer at the International Languages Teacher Training Institute, Kuala Lumpur. She is a Master Trainer for CEFR where she was selected by the Ministry of Education (MOE) in collaboration with Cambridge English (Language Assessment) to train teachers to adopt CEFR in the teaching of English Language in Malaysia. She is an active ELT practitioner who served at a high school and was awarded the E-Teacher Icon 2020 by NUTP (National Union of Teaching Profession, Malaysia) and UNITAR International University. She was also awarded with the Paul Harris Fellow for her unwavering support and guidance as a Teacher Advisor of the Interact Club at S.M.K Seri Hartamas. She also served as an Assistant Director in the Language Assessment Unit, at the Examinations Syndicate, MOE, Malaysia. Her involvement at state, national and international educational agencies and webinars has further proved her versatility in the education field.
