The Bett Asia Regional Roadshow tour has continued with an exclusive Thai event, held in conjunction with the UK government’s Education is Great campaign, at the Residence of the British Ambassador, Bangkok. The inaugural tour has already visited Malaysia and is heading to Vietnam to launch Bett Asia, taking place on November 15-16, 2017 at the Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur.
Bett Asia is a cutting-edge edtech Leadership Summit and Expo that will bring together 1,700+ education policy-makers, leaders and experts from around the world to discuss the transformation of education at the 2 day event, through a curated, multi-streamed agenda.
The Thai Regional Roadshow event featured addresses from prominent figures including H.E. Dr. Teerakiat Jareonsettasin, Minister of Education for Thailand, and Mr Brian Davidson, British Ambassador to Thailand.
Expert speakers introduced prevalent regional topics, to be explored in greater detail at Bett Asia, including transformation in ASEAN education, ASEAN collaboration & Thailand specific insights, trends in Thai Higher Education, and this year’s Bett Asia’s theme: Cultivating Global Collaboration in Education.

Bett Asia 2017 will host an audience from over 40 countries, to include Ministry of Education officials, higher education, TVET and international school leaders. Delegations and speakers from countries such as Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong and more make Bett Asia an international event.

Standout sessions will include a prestigious Ministerial panel featuring the Minister of Education from Laos, and Deputy Ministers from Thailand and Malaysia, to celebrate 50 years of ASEAN collaboration and discuss the Work Plan on Education 2016 – 2020, and a keynote address from Mr Graham Brown-Martin, founder of Learning Without Frontiers and a leading expert on the future of learning. Other noteworthy sessions include: a panel discussion on women in STEM with Ms. Michelle Gallaher, Co-Founder of Women in STEMM Australia and Ms. Sumitra Nair, Director, Talent & Digital Entrepreneurship, MDEC; a keynote on cultivating the next generation of teaching talent from Lord Jim Knight, Chief Education Advisor to TES and former Minister of State for Schools, UK; and a case study presentation from Naser Jaafar, CEO, Genovasi Foundation on Design Thinking.
Alongside our Leadership Summit, the Bett Asia Expo will showcase 60 leading edtech companies including 24 UK exhibitors supported by the UK Department for International Trade, helping UK businesses to expand their reach into Asia.
