John Ntatsopoulos
Managing Director Piedmont Asia
John was born and educated in Australia, where he completed a Master’s Degree in Commerce at the University of New South Wales. After several years in the corporate sector, he joined the AMP Society in 1987, then Australia’s largest insurer, as a Sales Technical Adviser. Over the next 25 years, he gained deep expertise across insurance, investment, and financial services, working in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and Malaysia.
In 2012, John joined global broker Aon as Regional Director of Employee Benefits for Southeast Asia. Based in Singapore, he managed operations across Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam, working closely with clients, regulators, and local teams while developing a deep appreciation for each country’s unique business culture.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, John became CEO and Director of Expat Insurance, a leading broking firm in Singapore and part of the Diot-Siaci Group, a leading global insurance and services firm.
It was during this time, John also became active in the mental health space, co-authoring a British Chamber of Commerce White Paper, “How Singapore’s Employment Ecosystem is Re-thinking Mental Health post Covid-19”, presented to the Minister of Health on World Mental Health Day in 2022.
Since August 2024, John has served as Managing Director of Piedmont Asia, driving the company’s growth as a specialist in payment solutions and as a regional distribution partner for Norton, the global leader in cybersecurity and identity protection. Passionate about protecting vulnerable groups, John is committed to working with schools and companies to combat online predators, scammers, and cyberbullying—causes he values as deeply as mental health.
Outside of work, John is an avid cook and a keen Harley-Davidson rider. Having toured extensively across Australia and the United States, he now enjoys exploring Southeast Asia with the Singapore chapter of the Harley Owners Group (HOGs), which actively supports charities for children, the elderly, the disabled, and disadvantaged communities.
