Charlene is a Research and Intelligence Associate at the Digital Education Council, where she focuses on
sustainable innovation, AI adoption and governance, and emerging trends in Higher Education. She plays a
key role in the research, development, and delivery of DEC’s flagship learning programmes — the Certificate
in AI for Higher Education for institutional leaders and faculty, and the AI Literacy for All course for students.
Through these programmes, Charlene has helped equip thousands of students and educators worldwide with the skills and understanding needed to navigate AI’s impact on teaching, learning, and the future of work. Her research spans innovation, sustainability, AI regulation, and institutional transformation, contributing to DEC’s globally referenced publications and policy‑oriented frameworks that are shaping AI strategies in universities and education systems.
