Afiq Fadhli Binti Narawi

Deputy President Malaysia Esports Federation (MESF)

Afiq Fadhli Narawi has been contributing to the growth of Malaysia’s digital and esports landscape for over 15 years. As President of the Sarawak Esports Association (SESA), he works closely with communities, youth, and stakeholders to develop inclusive and sustainable esports programs across East Malaysia. His efforts through initiatives like the Sarawak Esports Expo (SAREX) reflect a long-term vision to build talent and opportunity in the region. In 2022, he was humbled to be named Sarawak Youth Icon (Male), an honour he attributes to the collective efforts of his peers.

In the private sector, Afiq is the Director of Metadise Sdn Bhd, a company focused on digital innovation, training, and immersive experiences. He leads the “Tech-Me to Sarawak” project, a metaverse initiative that aims to promote Sarawak’s unique culture, nature, food, festivals, and innovation to a wider global audience through technology.

Afiq also serves as the Deputy President of the Kuching Blockchain Technology Association (KBTA), where he supports initiatives to raise awareness and understanding of blockchain technology in Sarawak. In education, he contributes to curriculum development as a Board of Study member for the Bachelor of Mobile Game Development (Hons) at University of Technology Sarawak (UTS), aiming to bridge academic training with industry needs.

In his national role as Deputy President of the Malaysia Esports Federation, Afiq had the opportunity to represent Malaysia as Team Manager at the inaugural Commonwealth Esports Championships in Birmingham, United Kingdom, in 2022. With the dedication of the athletes and coaches, Malaysia proudly brought home three gold medals in Dota 2 Open, Dota 2 Women, and eFootball Open categories.

Currently, Afiq also serves on the board of the Sarawak Sports Corporation, where he contributes to shaping the direction of sports development in the state. Across all his roles, he remains committed to empowering youth and creating pathways through technology, collaboration, and shared purpose.
