Jeanne Denyer

Campus Principal Tenby Schools Penang

Jeanne Denyer has been the Campus Principal of Tenby Schools Penang since August 2019. She has been a leader of three Tenby schools since moving to Malaysia in 2013. Jeanne worked in schools in the UK for 11 years after leaving a career in the diplomatic service. She is passionate about learning and believes that schools should prepare children for a future that is unknown. During her tenure as Campus Principal of Tenby Schools Penang, the school has transitioned to becoming a STEAM specialist school and they have recently opened their “STEAM Engine” a three-story building housing specialist STEAM learning spaces. These spaces will help their students develop the skills needed to become changemakers. The school is also working with partners to develop STEAM programmes for marginalised communities. She believes that innovation is not the same as invention and that by learning from and collaborating with others it is possible to find new approaches to learning and develop wider connections. She is delighted to be part of the Bett Asia Advisory Group.
