Dr Suzani Mohamad Samuri

Dr Suzani Mohamad Samuri is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Computing and Meta-Technology (FKMT), Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI). She currently serves as the Deputy Dean of Research and Innovation and leads the Data Intelligence and Knowledge Management (DILIGENT) Special Interest Group, focusing on artificial intelligence, data analytics, and digital transformation in education.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP) and obtained her PhD in Automatic Control and Systems Engineering from the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom. With this academic foundation, she bridges engineering and education to design solutions that bring real impact to learning and institutional practices.
Her research explores how advancements in AI and analytics can transform education and strengthen institutions, while her passion lies in data analytics, particularly in empowering educators with meaningful insights. She previously served as Coordinator of Malaysia’s National Child Data Centre, managing nationwide developmental data on children from infancy to preschool, which contributed to policy and educational planning.
