Mentors, Innovators, Leaders: The women redefining EdTech at Bett Asia 2025

Bett Global’s Women in EdTech movement has continued to flourish across Southeast Asia since its launch at Bett Asia 2023. Established to celebrate and champion the female educators and innovators driving meaningful change in educational technology, the community was born out of a clear need for greater visibility and connection. Following its debut at Bett Asia, Women in EdTech has since expanded across our global portfolio, growing in strength, reach and impact as a truly international collective.

At Bett Asia 2025, this progress was highlighted through the celebration of the third year of the EdTech 10 List and the launch of the Women in EdTech Mentoring Circles, which brought together inspiring voices to share experiences, foster mentorship and empower the next generation of women and girls.

Bett Asia 2025 EdTech 10 List

Our Women in EdTech movement began in Bett Asia with the launch of our very first EdTech 10 List in 2023. The list celebrates pioneering women who are championing innovation within their local communities as well as the wider educational technology landscape within Southeast Asia. Since then, this initiative has significantly grown with three groups of winners and counting.

On day one, the winners of Bett Asia’s 2025 EdTech List were celebrated alongside the Bett Asia Awards. Our winners included Lecturers, Professors, CEOs and Founders who are all championing inclusion, accessibility and innovation within the EdTech space. It was brilliant to celebrate the inspiring and impactful work of these women who are leading the way in the Southeast Asian education landscape. Check out the winners for 2025!

Bett Global - Women in EdTech Mentoring Circles

The overwhelming success of Bett’s Women in EdTech initiative at Bett UK 2025 led to the creation of our brand-new Women in EdTech Mentoring Circles. At Bett Asia 2025, we debuted the Mentoring Circles and they were attended by 25 women and men across three engaging sessions. Each 30-minute circle was hosted by leading women in the field including several of our EdTech 10 winners showcasing the community’s commitment to empowering others.

The circles are designed to welcome everyone, regardless of age, gender or ethnicity to share their experiences, perspectives and insights about the EdTech space. Each table featured a prompt card to help spark meaningful conversations. Questions ranged from, “What challenges have you experienced as a woman in the EdTech industry and how did you overcome them?” to “Which role models have inspired and supported you in your career so far and how?”

One of the sessions was hosted by Nicola Rylett-Jones, the first female Chair of ABE Global Ltd. She described the experience as inspiring, noting the “diverse range of women in the room sharing their interesting points of view.” Her group discussed,“everything from working with people who may not always be supportive of female leaders, to how we can support and big up more women into leadership roles.”
