Screen time: The good, the bad, and the balanced
As educators, we see first-hand both the opportunities and challenges that come with students’ increased screen time. From online learning tools to social media distractions, navigating the digital landscape has become part of daily school life and it doesn’t stop when the bell rings. This session will explore what “good” screen time looks like in an educational context, how schools can communicate clear and consistent messages to families, and what practical boundaries can help students thrive both at school and at home. Together, we’ll discuss strategies for building a shared language around digital wellbeing, supporting parents with confidence, and leading by example to foster balanced and intentional technology use in our school communities.
