This session will help the audience define media literacy, moving beyond the simple act of spotting misinformation to understanding its profound impact on individual wellbeing and social cohesion.
Drawing from several successful case studies in Malaysia by Arus Academy, this presentation will demonstrate how various parties can work to incorporate media literacy in and out of classroom to empower the young generations to be resilient digital citizens.
Participants will leave with a clear understanding of what media literacy is and its importance in the education landscape and be inspired to promote media literacy in their daily work in whichever form possible in their capacity to help build a more informed, empathetic, resilient digital citizens to not only survive but thrive in the increasing complex and divided society.
