Aligning measurable education outcomes with industry needs

Skills gaps hamper economic development, but they are caused by learning gaps. Business transformation is rapid, but educational transformation is not. Because of this, most countries struggle to enable their economies with the skills necessary for progress, and school systems’ efforts to transform to solve the learning gap range from well-intentioned and striving to non-existent. This session is targeted toward government representatives and Academic leaders (school systems) who understand this challenge and are looking for ways to overcome it. It will review the challenges and provide ideas of how the learning gap can be overcome. Attendees should walk away with concrete, actionable ideas of how to close the learning gap and help education systems become economic enablers.
