Dr Kamal’s career in Malaysia’s civil service spans over a decade, throughout which he has progressively held various portfolios, including in the Ministry of Education of Malaysia (MOE). His longest service was with the Strategic Planning and International Relations Department for which he served for over four years where he has closely worked with the UNESCO, Middle East, African, European, and Asian countries. Implementing cooperation’s through Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), coordinating working visits, conducting Joint Working Groups (JWG) meetings and bilateral discussions were among his responsibilities throughout his tenure in MOE Malaysia.
