Zainal Abas

Director Educational Technology and Resources Division, Ministry of Education Malaysia

As the Director of Education Resources & Technology Division, Ministry of Education Malaysia, Zainal oversees the establishment and management of policies related to resources and technology in education.

Prior to assuming role as Director of Education Resources & Technology Division, Zainal was the Director of School Management Division, Director of the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur State Education Department, and Director of Sports, Cocurricular and Arts Division, Ministry of Education Malaysia.

He is also the Governing Board Member of the National Sports Institute of Malaysia, Yayasan Hijau (Green Foundation), National Book Council of Malaysia, Malaysia Book City Corporation, and serves as member of the Athlete Selection Committee, Olympic Council of Malaysia.

Former Malaysian Athletics Chief Coach, Zainal also serves World Athletics as a Lecturer for World Athletics’ Coaches Education and Certification System (CECS).
