Jo Malone

FED Executive Team/ Education Consultant The Foundation for Education Development

Jo is passionate about the transformative power of education and combatting inequalities across the system. Following 17 years in the classroom as teacher, AST, and leader, Jo worked as Senior Education Adviser at the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change for ten years working across their global education programmes.

For the FED Jo led on the 2021 and 2022 national consultations and co-authored the subsequent reports. In addition, she leads the FED’s work on climate change & sustainability and its work with the OECD on Education for Human Flourishing.

Jo is co-founder of WECAN, a women consultant and advisers group, an adviser for a Life Skills Ed-tech company Persona Life Skills and a global co-creation education organisation, Curriculum for Life.  She is a primary school governor. Jo loves the company of young people and feels that teachers and school leaders are her natural tribe.
