Soumaya Maghnouj

Secondee, Inclusive and Quality Education Section UNESCO Asia-Pacific

Soumaya Maghnouj is a Policy Analyst at the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). Soumaya is currently on secondment assignment at the UNESCO Asia and Pacific Regional Bureau for Education where she works with the Inclusive and Quality Education Section on topics related to the learning recovery post COVID-19 and teaching and learning policies. At UNESCO, Soumaya contributed to the development of the content of the 2nd Asia-Pacific Regional Education Ministers’ Conference (APREMC-II) held in Bangkok in June 2022. Prior to her secondment at UNESCO, Soumaya has been working for over eight years at the OECD’s Education Directorate where she led policy reviews and technical assistance projects to support partner countries develop capacity on evaluation and assessment, school governance and teacher policy. A French and Moroccan national, Soumaya has a Master’s degree in Economics and Public Policy from Sciences-Po Paris.
