Sam’s career trajectory has been fortunate to cover his two great interests: technology and education, transitioning between the two and allowing him to indulge his love of history and English literature with extended excursions into IT. He started working for a Cloud Hosting start up before taking a break from IT to re-train as a secondary school teacher, teaching History and Literature. He then became the Director of ICT at one of the largest K-12 Independent Schools in New Zealand before joining Microsoft’s APAC Education team. With a focus on effective technology integration and regular trips to Asia, Sam is a firm believer that technology is just one of many tools great educators use to improve learning outcomes.
