Marc brings a wide range of experience spanning six countries including Canada, Taiwan, Saudi Arabia, India, Japan and now Malaysia. He has recently completed his EdD in educational leadership from the University of Calgary. His studies focus on educational leadership, student engagement, and school development. Marc was the Principal of Osaka YMCA International School and founding director of their secondary school. He is transitioning to his new position as the Principal of Uplands International School in Penang Malaysia.
Marc is passionate about school development and has led numerous MYP / DP authorizations. He has held numerous positions within schools providing him with a wide scope and understanding of school leadership, teaching, and learning. He has taught extensively across the MYP / DP focused on MYP Individuals and Societies, DP Business Management, DP Geography, and MYP Health / Physical Education. He has held the position of Personal Project Coordinator, CAS Coordinator, DP Coordinator, Vice Principal, Principal, and Director.
Marc is a proud member of the International Baccalaureate educators network. He facilitates a wide range of workshops for the organization focused on school leadership, improvement, and authorization. He is also an evaluation leader and consultant for the Diploma and Middle Years Programmes. Marc is also an adjunct professor for the National Taiwan Normal University where he instructs courses training the next generation of IB educators.
