Helga has had a wide spanning career with British Council having held a number of senior roles within the organization over the last 23 years.
She has extensive international experience having lived and worked in South America, Europe, Central and South Asia and the Middle East. Immediately before moving to Thailand, she held the role of Regional Director for our grant funded and commercial activity in Education and English across South Asia and previous to that, was Regional Director for our work in Assessment across our Europe regions covering a span of 35 countries.
Having trained and worked as a teacher early in her career, she is passionate about the transformational change that education and cultural exchange can bring about and in her British Council career has worked on major programmes and research at all levels of the education sector, always striving to ensure that the impact they create is as systemic and sustainable as possible.
She holds an undergraduate degree in Modern Languages, a PGCE, Cambridge DELTA and an MBA.
