Heather Gilmore

Director, Corporate Affairs Pearson Asia Pacific

Heather is a strategic communications professional with over 20 years experience in education, professional and financial services, government, and media. She have advised CEOs and government leaders on media relations, crisis communications, issues management, stakeholder relations and public policy.

For over a decade Heather was a journalist working at the Daily Telegraph in Sydney, and the New York Post in New York.

In Government, Heather was a senior media adviser to two State Premiers, a Treasurer and Minister and worked on a winning election campaign.

Following corporate affairs roles at Westpac and PwC, Heather now heads up Corporate Affairs at Pearson, Asia Pacific, overseeing internal and external communications, corporate social responsibility and government relations in the region for the world's largest education company.

She holds a MA, Strategic Communications, from Columbia University, and a BA from the University of Sydney. She lives in Sydney with her family, and sometimes makes an attempt at running.
