Professor Dr Yee began her career as an auditor and an accountant and she had gained wide international exposure in the area of accounting and auditing work while she was working in Australia, Singapore, United Kingdom and Malaysia. She is currently a Professor and Director (Research and Enterprise) in Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (APU). She received the Endeavour Executive Fellowship Award from Australia in 2015 and SME ICONS award in 2021. She has contributed to various policies in higher education.
