Effective Teacher Training Strategies

Across the world, we all know the importance of a valuable introduction into the workforce. The better a teacher's induction, the more effective and satisfied they will be. In Papua New Guinea, the International Education Agency has placed considerable investment in training aspiring nationals to be long-term, effective and happy world-class educators. Our one-year fulltime Teacher Induction Programme has been implemented for 20 years and has significantly improved the standards of teaching and learning in our schools. This programme includes face-to-face learning, reflection, practical experience and careful placement into private international schools once they have graduated. Principals, teachers and peers all describe the positive impact in schools as a result of the 'TIP’. Let graduates from the programme tell you more about their experiences.

The Role of Technology in the Acceleration of Requisite Skills in the Education Industry

In the education industry, there is an everchanging fluid environment requiring both educators and learners to update their requisite skills. Educators, in preparing the students with future-ready skills, will need to identify the requirements of future careers for their students. Contemporary job scopes and career descriptions require fast information gathering and ability to access reliable resources and references from evidence-based research. Embracing technology to implement these skills has therefore become an almost indispensable tool for both educators and learners to produce impactful presentations, thus enabling effective networking and collobaration across the globe. Such is the nature of future challenges needing accelerated learning skills and effective implementations for best outcome.

Are you and your Edtech partners ready for the next generation of technology?

With the introduction of new technology into all aspects of our home and work lives, the big question is:
Are school leaders and EdTech partners equipped and ready to take advantage of the next generation of technology? And how can it be used to reduce workloads within schools? Most importantly, what can we do to build insights to deliver true individual learning, ensuring the student is at the centre of their ambitions and aspirations?
